A Selection of Wedding Limericks
Written for Lisa and Ian by Keith

There was a young bride named Lisa
Who had a chair moved from beneath her
Whilst on the floor she sat
Along came a young chap
And that's how her husband did meet her

There was a young groom named Ian
Who met the girl of his dreams
Her first name is Lisa
And though he does tease her
Together forever ever they'll be seen

There was a best man named Alex
Who's speech used slides and some text
We laughed and we cheered
At the pics that appeared
And all wondered what on earth would be next

There was a bride's father named Christy
Whose speech was really quite nifty
The words which he spoke
Some serious, some jokes
From five-thirty right through to five-fifty

There was a young bridesmaid named Olivia
When she sang all stopped to hear her
The groom and the bride
Stood and clapped, full of pride
At the music that came from within her

There was a bridesmaid named Helen
Whose poetry, she should be selling
With words from the heart
To the end, from the start
The tears inside us were welling

There was a bridesmaid named Louise
Who really was very pleased:
To see her sister wed
Didn't fill her with dread
But the photo shoot did make her freeze

Two witnesses named Deb and Keith
Whose signatures now appear beneath
Those of bride and of groom
Who in that small room
Their love for each other did seal
